Wobbuffet.

There is one question always asked when someone learns Wobbuffet is in the Uber tier, that question is: WTF?

Here's the answer to that question, a strategy guide to Wobbuffet.

Wobbuffet's main strategy revolves around predicting what your opponent
does next then countering it with Counter or Mirror Coat, predicting
what your opponent does next can be easily done through a move Wob can
learn through it's pre-evolved form (Whynaught) and that move is Encore!

(For those of you who don't know, Encore forces your opponent to use the same attack from 2 - 6 times).

Naturally an opponent who knows this will try to switch, however
Wobbuffet's ability is Shadow-Tag, which prevents your opponent from
switching.

This all combined with one of the highest HP's in the game (only Chansey
and Blissey have higher HP stats) will give you a very powerful Offence
and Defence, also if you can predict when it faints (through Encore obviously) you should be able to time a Destiny-Bond attack making another one of your opponents pokemon faint.

As for an item, A Leftovers will recover about 36 HP when Wob has max possible HP.

To counter a Wobbuffet you simply need to use a stat boosting move when it tries to use Encore that way you can hopefully kill it in one hit, if your opponent uses a stat boosting move against your Wobbuffet, simply switch to another pokemon.

Wobbuffet's nature doesn't matter as the only stat that matters is it's HP.

Basically the strategy is:
Send out Wobbuffet, Use Encore, if the opponent uses a physical attack then use Counter until your opponent can do something else, if the attack was special then use Mirror Coat instead of counter, if the attack was anything else (Swords-Dance, Agility etc) then you can safely switch to a counter pokemon.

Any more contribution will be appreciated.

My quick counter for wobuffet:

toxic+wall=win

but...personally, i dont think using wobuffet against a skilled uber or non-uber user works out that well. Wobuffets are only good against younger, non-experienced battlers who rely purely on attacks. In the 107 battles I've been in, I've only seen around five wobuffets, 2 of which failed to knock out a single pokemon, while the other three both took out one. I see wobuffet as a closer, a sixth pokemon who's job is to take out the opponents final pokemon, because if he is left out to dry against a good team, wobuffets should be taken out in at least two pokemon.

the wording is terrible, i know.... im tired -__-
