Eevee egg?

Post by zabeon on Mon Jul 13, 2009 10:16 pm

I don't understand this. I breeded an Eevee with body slam. The first egg I got, that Eevee knew body slam. The rest didn't. I went to the daycare to see if that Eevee still had it and it did. What happened?

In FR/LG a move tutor can teach it to Eevee and I migrated it from FR. I breeded it with a female Eevee I recieved from Bebe.

That shouldn't be right, then. The only way that a male Eevee can pass down moves is if the female and the male share the same move or if it's a TM or HM. I don't know how you managed to get the first egg with Body Slam, but it shouldn't have happened.

So as you know, Blaze, I'm confused about how this happened. So if I were to get a male and a female Eevee that know knows body slam, would the offspring have it as well even though it isn't a TM?

No, both parents have to know Body Slam and the pokemon has to learn it while leveling up. Plus, Eevee can't learn Body Slam through Egg moves.

that's because stone edge and earthquake are TM's and outrage is listed as an egg move.

Here are the rules for Pokemon that got out of eggs to learn moves:

1) Both parents need to learn it if the pokemon learns it while leveling up
2) Male parent needs to know TMs and HM moves to pass it down
3) Male parent needs to know the Egg move for the baby to know it
4) If none of the above ones are used, then the baby learns the ones that it learns at level 1.

It's just the male that needs to learn the desired egg move. It doesn't really matter what moves the female has but only as long as it's the pokemon that you want.
